Cheniere Shack is just one of those hole-in-the-wall places that serves solid Louisiana favorites. I always get the blackened shrimp salad and it never disappoints. My family loves their whole fried catfish. Good hush puppies and sweet tea. Surprisingly decent margaritas. Lots of desserts to choose from, my go-to is the coconut cake. We've been coming here for years and will continue.

My family has been patrons of this restaurant for many years. We enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Once when our grandson was five, we ordered a small adult fried fish plate and he ate everything very quickly and wanted "more, please". He is twelve now and when asked if he wants to go out to eat, he always asks if we can go to Cheniere Shack.
